Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zygi Lofs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cena comes to the cage accompanied by Booty Work. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zygi Lofs!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lofs looks for a takedown but Cena sprawls well.
Lofs displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cena throws out the jab.
Lofs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cena counters with a good, hard body kick but Lofs shrugs it off.

Lofs gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cena to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cena stays in close to Lofs's body and controls the position.

Lofs is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cena defends well.

Lofs has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cena is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lofs.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.

Lofs holds on to Cena's head and controls the position momentarily.
Cena tries to stand but Lofs is controlling his head.
Lofs tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lofs holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Cena really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cena is trying to ground and pound but Lofs uses the momentary lack of control by Cena to regain half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cena closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lofs circles away.
Cena throws a left and a right that both miss

and Lofs counters by clinching up.

Cena breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lofs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
John Cena has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zygi Lofs.
Lofs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cena swats him away and circles back towards the center.
John Cena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lofs stuffs the takedown.

Cena forces Lofs back against the cage and clinches.

Cena is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lofs is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cena to the mat. Cena regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lofs showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

A close round but Zygi Lofs will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lofs swats away the attempt to clinch by Cena.
Cena tries to close the distance and clinch but Lofs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cena.
Lofs prevents Cena from improving position.
Cena is putting a hurting on Lofs here, landing some big shots from side control.
Lofs manages to get back to half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lofs slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Cena wants to control from the top but Lofs keeps moving.
Cena knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lofs on the ground.

John Cena overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lofs escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cena gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cena controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lofs is trying to keep Cena in close.
Cena throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lofs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cena slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Cena misses with the ground and pound.
Cena trying to control the position but Lofs is working away.

Cena stands up and beckons Lofs to his feet.

Lofs bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Cena has one of Lofs's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Lofs scores with a couple of short elbows.

Lofs is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Cena is trying to escape and Lofs transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Cena is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lofs! Very nice indeed!
