The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell shoots in looking for a takedown. QUIK PHISH tries to sprawl out of it but Maxwell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. QUIK PHISH manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Maxwell shoots in but QUIK PHISH avoids the takedown attempt easily.
QUIK PHISH stuffs the takedown attempt from Maxwell. Maxwell gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Isaiah Maxwell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Maxwell ducks under a wild hook from QUIK PHISH.

QUIK PHISH throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
QUIK PHISH takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
QUIK PHISH throws out a loose jab but Maxwell uses good head movement to avoid it.
Maxwell closes the distance and clinches up with QUIK PHISH, looking for a takedown. Maxwell pushes QUIK PHISH against the cage but QUIK PHISH circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maxwell looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Isaiah Maxwell has been cut.
Maxwell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from QUIK PHISH.
Oh Maxwell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
QUIK PHISH drops Maxwell with a straight right hand, right on the button! QUIK PHISH follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
