Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Croswell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Rector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthew Croswell had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew Croswell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Rector!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rector moves out of range as Croswell throws a body kick.
Croswell tries to bum rush Rector with a series of wild strikes but Rector uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Croswell connects with a single shot there.
Rector dodges the punch combination from Croswell.
Croswell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rector stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Rector shoots in and gets a takedown into Croswell's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rector slips nicely into half guard.
Rector passes the guard and advances to mount!

Rector is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Croswell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Croswell defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rector.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rector looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Rector throws some wild stikes that Croswell manages to avoid easily.

Rector has control of Croswell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Croswell regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rector misses with a head shot.
Croswell tries to lock up and control but Rector gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Croswell really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Croswell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Croswell tries to get out of the position.
Rector throwing strikes here but Croswell is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Rector is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Croswell has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Rector jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Croswell manages to avoid the submission attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rector is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Croswell is trying to escape and Rector transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Croswell is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rector! Very nice indeed!

A determined Andre Rector didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
