Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Pas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trip Otto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trip Otto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Pas counters with a left and a right that stings Otto.

Otto shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Pas is not content to let Otto control the position.
Otto working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Otto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Otto lands a nice shot to the head.
Otto should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Otto postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pas looks a forlorn figure.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Otto has eaten all the pies!
Pas is trying to escape the mount.
Otto unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Pas wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Otto celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
