PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scott Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meat Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loaf has chosen Eat My Loaf as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 10 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Scott Cain!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Meat Loaf!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain scores with a hook to the body. Loaf takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Loaf steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cain.
Cain staying out of range there.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Loaf - that will leave a mark!
Loaf takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cain goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Loaf misses with a straight right.
A shot to the liver by Loaf. Beautiful body shot.
Cain closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Loaf moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Cain throws a push kick but Loaf slaps the foot to one side.
Cain takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Loaf fails in his attempt to clinch.
Loaf throws the kick towards the body but Cain avoids it.
A punch lands to the side of Cain 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cain defending well as Loaf loads up on a big left hand.

Loaf gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Loaf working for a triangle but Cain defends it easily.

Loaf lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cain!

Loaf is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Loaf throwing shots but Cain is blocking nicely.

Loaf thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cain's head.
Cain wants to improve his position but Loaf is controlling well.

Cain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cain closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Loaf did well to prevent Cain getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cain seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cain got a little sloppy there for a moment and Loaf has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cain has managed to get both his arms back between Loaf's legs - danger averted.

Cain lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Loaf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cain has gone for a leg lock! Loaf slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cain's guard.

Loaf might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cain kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
