Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dane Hoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Vick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoy comes to the cage accompanied by Chaka Demus. Dane Hoy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vick is fending him off so far but Hoy persists. Nope, Vick circles away and we're back to standing.

Vick looks to land a right hand but Hoy moved out of range.
Hoy slips a jab and a cross from Vick.

and Hoy counters with a stiff right hand.
Hoy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vick as he jumps to the side.

Vick has managed to clinch.
Vick unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hoy lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hoy is breathing heavily.

Vick is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hoy can't fight it off and eventually Vick manages to take the fight to the floor. Hoy looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hoy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hoy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Vick tries to roll over but Hoy keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hoy keeping moving, preventing Vick from controlling successfully.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hoy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hoy is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Vick has his hands clasped together but Hoy extends an breaks Vick's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hoy.
