Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Koji Matsuda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tuski Fema (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsuda's entrance music is 科学忍者隊ガッチャ. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Koji Matsuda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tuski Fema!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsuda wants to clinch up but Fema keeps it at a distance.
Fema tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Matsuda swivels and escapes.

You can see the frustration on Matsuda's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fema looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Matsuda with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Matsuda is looking for a sweep. Fema is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fema takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Fema seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Fema working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tuski Fema just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fema misses with a takedown attempt - Matsuda sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Tuski Fema showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Fema looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Matsuda with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fema shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matsuda pinned against the cage. Matsuda gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fema fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Matsuda sprawls well initially but Fema persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
