PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sneek a Mouse Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommi Sihoven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sneek a Mouse Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommi Sihoven!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sihoven but Sihoven pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Marley.
Sihoven is looking to regain half guard here but Marley keeps moving and retains side control.
Marley tries to advance to mount but Sihoven denies him.

Marley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Marley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sihoven is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Marley stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Marley shoots in and bounces Sihoven off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Marley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sihoven swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Marley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sihoven is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sihoven has escaped and now he's on top!
Sihoven trying to control but Marley is working from the bottom.
Sihoven must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Marley looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Marley is breathing heavily.
Sihoven passes into half guard.
It looks like Sihoven is going to stand back up.
Marley works his way to full guard. Good work.
Sihoven throws a strike but Marley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marley won't allow Sihoven to get back to his feet.

Marley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Marley is looking to work some ground and pound but Sihoven has wrist control.

Sihoven uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Marley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sihoven connects with a high kick.
Sihoven takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Marley gets the takedown into side control.

Marley is working to tighten is grip on Sihoven's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sihoven has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Marley is really squeezing tight and eventually Sihoven passes out! Marley breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
