Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ola Afolabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shia Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ola Afolabi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shia Locke's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ola Afolabi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shia Locke!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Locke showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Afolabi.
An inside leg kick from Afolabi misses.
Afolabi misses with a head kick.
Afolabi moves out of range of the body kick from Locke.
Locke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Locke throws a body punch but Afolabi moves out of range.
Locke avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Locke lands a leg kick that knocks Afolabi off balance momentarily.
Afolabi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A jab from Locke does it's job there.
Locke throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Afolabi throws a low kick but Locke avoids it.
Afolabi throws a solid leg kick but Locke takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Afolabi.
Afolabi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Locke checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Locke throws a sloppy head kick and Afolabi moves out of range easily.

and Locke counters with a solid body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Locke moves out of range of the leg kick from Afolabi.
Sloppy strikes from Locke. Those never looked like landing.
Afolabi throws a leg kick that is checked
and Locke counters with a nice body kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Locke checks a leg kick.
Locke misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Locke just misses with a punch to the body.
Locke buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Afolabi gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Ola Afolabi has been cut.
Afolabi is breathing heavily.
Locke lands a slapping body shot.
Locke explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Afolabi walks into a big right hand from Locke and goes down! The referee sends Locke to a neutral corner as Afolabi gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
Locke comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Locke lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Afolabi at a distance.
Locke looks to land a body kick but Afolabi moved away.
Locke misses with an attempted mid kick.
Locke jabs at Afolabi's body.
Locke tries to close the distance and clinch but Afolabi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Locke connects with a nice looking jab.
Locke lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Locke cracks Afolabi with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Afolabi is rocked!
Locke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oh Afolabi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ola Afolabi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Locke with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Locke connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Afolabi onto his butt! Afolabi bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
Locke has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Locke swings for the body but Afolabi moves out of range.
Locke misses the shot to the body.
Afolabi walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
