The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smithers's corner calls for a 1-2. Smithers obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Auu Rite has been cut.
Nice body kick from Rite.
A bone on bone clash there as Smithers blocks the leg kick.
Rite checks a leg kick nicely.
Smithers drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Rite thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Smithers if he has to take too many more of those.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rite shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rite takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Smithers takes a swing at Rite's ribcage but misses.
Rite staying out of range there.
Smithers checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Rite lands a big head kick that sends Smithers tumbling to the mat! Rite takes a step backwards and waves Smithers back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Smithers is rocked!

Rite lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Smithers is still on wobbly legs! Can Rite finish him?
Smithers is holding his hands too far apart here. Rite throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Smithers is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
