Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Hoodwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steel's Avenger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoodwell's entrance music is Yela Wolf Kickin. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avenger missing with a left hand there. Hoodwell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Avenger throws a low kick but Hoodwell moves out of range easily.
Avenger lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hoodwell throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Avenger is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Avenger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hoodwell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Avenger lands a left and a right that send Hoodwell crashing to the mat, dazed. Avenger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Jake Hoodwell has been cut.

Jake Hoodwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Avenger misses.
Avenger avoids a punch combination nicely.
Avenger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hoodwell misses with a double jab
and Avenger counters with a huge left! Hoodwell is in big trouble! He's backing up but Avenger isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hoodwell from any more damage. A dominating finish by Avenger!
