Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Super Slayer!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Slayer lands.
Slayer tries to clinch up.
Junior throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Junior's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Slayer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Junior scrambles back to his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Slayer misses the target.
Slayer darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Junior moves away from the strike by Slayer.
Slayer just misses with a punch to the body.

Slayer shoots in and bounces Junior off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Junior wants to sweep but no luck.
Junior is pulling down on Slayer's head to control his posture.
Slayer is looking to stand up but Junior won't let him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Slayer won't allow Junior to sweep him here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Junior controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jorge Junior just wasn't active enough.

Slayer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Junior manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Slayer trying to control the position from guard on top but Junior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Junior wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Slayer wants to control from the top but Junior keeps moving.
Junior might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Junior is pulling down on Slayer's head to control his posture.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Super Slayer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Junior slips a jab and a cross from Slayer.

Junior shoots in and gets a takedown into Slayer's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Junior stands and throws Slayer's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slayer struggling a bit here.

Junior has an Americana. Slayer didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Junior is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Junior hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
