Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randal Plimpton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mt Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mt Man will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randal Plimpton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mt Man!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man misses with a series of wild punches.

Plimpton rushes Man and presses him up against the cage.
Man tries to break the clinch but Plimpton is controlling the position.

Plimpton gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Plimpton looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Plimpton passes Man's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Man really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Plimpton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Plimpton passes to full mount!
Plimpton controlling the position easily from mount.

Plimpton stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Plimpton moves out of range of the strikes.
Man throws a jab but it's blocked by Plimpton.
Man darts in trying to clinch

and Plimpton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Plimpton slows the pace down in half guard.
Plimpton passes to side control.
The referee asks Plimpton politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Plimpton prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Plimpton works to advance to full mount. Man defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Plimpton cracks Man with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Plimpton controlling from mount.
Plimpton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Plimpton has hold of Man's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Man manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Plimpton connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


It looks like Mt Man has been cut.
Plimpton controlling his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Plimpton dominating with strikes here.
Plimpton sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Man is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Plimpton landing strikes from the mount.
Man is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Plimpton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Plimpton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Mt Man's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Plimpton counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Man!

Man tries to improve his position but Plimpton has taken his back! Plimpton has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Man tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Plimpton pushes Man away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Randal Plimpton!
During a confident post fight interview, Randal Plimpton thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
