The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saber fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kotkiewicz dives in and grabs Saber's left leg, looking for a takedown. Saber pushes down on Kotkiewicz's head and hops out.

Kotkiewicz gets tackled into the cage by Saber. Saber maintains the clinch.
Saber is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kotkiewicz is keeping busy.
Kotkiewicz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Saber pushes off an throws an elbow but Kotkiewicz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Kotkiewicz throws an elbow but misses.
Saber is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kotkiewicz is keeping busy.
Saber tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Saber throws a right and a left that both miss.

Saber looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Saber wants to get up but he can't break Kotkiewicz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Saber stands and steps away. Kotkiewicz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Saber looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Saber stalks Kotkiewicz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kotkiewicz's face. Kotkiewicz staggers backwards, shaken.

The fight stays on the outside here - Saber looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Saber misses with the combination.
Saber connects with a combination that backs up Kotkiewicz into the cage. Saber lands a flurry of punches that gets past Kotkiewicz's guard. Kotkiewicz is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Saber bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
