Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Trout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Lancing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaron Lancing told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Lancing!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancing tries for a takedown but Trout sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Trout closes the distance and clinches.
Trout decides to pull guard.
Trout is adopting a defensive guard.
Lancing trying to control the position from guard on top but Trout is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Aaron Lancing has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Lancing shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lancing showed some decent athleticism there.
Lancing throwing shots but Trout is blocking nicely.
Lancing wants to take a breather but Trout is having none of it.
Trout makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Trout.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Aaron Lancing was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Lancing closes the distance and clinches up with Trout, looking for a takedown. Lancing pushes Trout against the cage but Trout circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Trout fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lancing to the ground. Trout is now in Lancing's guard.

Lancing wants to stand but Trout is controlling the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Trout thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Trout will probably get the nod.

Lancing shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Lancing is looking to clinch.
Trout shoots in looking for a takedown but Lancing manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Trout's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lancing is trying hard to land a takedown here. Trout sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Trout closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Trout in particular looking to stall.

Trout is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lancing can't fight it off and eventually Trout manages to take the fight to the floor. Lancing looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kevin Trout overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Trout sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lancing's guard.

Lancing tries to get to full guard but Trout has control of the leg.
Lancing won't allow Trout to pass to mount.

Lancing is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Trout wants to control but Lancing is keeping him busy.
Trout is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lancing doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Trout.
Trout wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lancing keeps working.

Trout feints and as Lancing raises his hands in defense, Trout changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Trout is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lancing is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lancing has escaped and now he's on top!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Trout looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lancing puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Lancing stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Trout to get to his feet.
Lancing throws a head kick but Trout moves out of range.
Trout shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lancing looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Trout looking for a submission but Lancing manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Trout trying to control but Lancing is working from the bottom.
Lancing has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Trout should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lancing has tightened it up now! Trout should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
