Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Griffin Glass!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton throws a right hand that Glass ducks under and follows up with a left that Glass also avoids with ease.
A head kick misses from Hamilton.

Hamilton drives through and clinches with Glass against the cage.
Hamilton scores with a shoulder strike.
Glass prevents the takedown attempt.
Hamilton scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A bit of stalling here from Hamilton.
Glass is trying to stall.

Hamilton has Glass pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hamilton pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Glass tumbling to the mat - Hamilton dives into Glass's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hamilton stands up and waves to Glass to follow him.

Hamilton drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hamilton wants to get up but he can't break Glass's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Glass is looking for a triangle but Hamilton pushes his legs off easily.

Glass has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hamilton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Glass.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Glass tries to roll over but Hamilton keeps him under control.
Hamilton wants to stand up but Glass is controlling the position.
Hamilton seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Glass manages to get to full guard.

No joy there for Hamilton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hamilton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Glass avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hamilton is trying to trip Glass. He has hold of a leg but Glass is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hamilton persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Hamilton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Glass is proving hard to escape from.

Glass has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hamilton off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Hamilton has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Glass is trying to keep an underhook but Hamilton manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Glass is looking for a sweep. Hamilton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hamilton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Glass's face.

Glass goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hamilton prevents it.
Hamilton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Glass pulls his leg out and moves away.

Hamilton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hamilton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hamilton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Glass is desperately trying to improve his position but Hamilton has a good base and remains in mount.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Hamilton pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Glass moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Glass utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hamilton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hamilton feints and then cracks Glass's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Glass down.

Hamilton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hamilton decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Hamilton lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hamilton.
Griffin Glass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
