And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, LJ Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Sandstone moves into the clinch.
Sandstone throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Stevens blocks the elbow strike.
Sandstone throws an elbow that misses.
Stevens looking to throw knees to the head but Sandstone is blocking nicely.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Stevens has eaten all the pies!
Stevens tries to break the clinch but Sandstone is controlling the position.
Stevens struggles to land a body shot inside as Sandstone controls his hands.
Stevens on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Stevens tries to stall but Sandstone uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Stevens blocks an elbow strike.
Sandstone misses with an elbow strike.
Stevens blocks an elbow strike.
Stevens blocks an elbow strike from Sandstone.
Stevens tries a knee to the head but Sandstone blocks it.
Sandstone blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Stevens misses with a knee strike.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Sandstone throws an elbow but misses.

Stevens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stevens throws a right and a left that Sandstone avoids nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sandstone showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stevens.
Stevens tries to clinch up
and Sandstone counters with a right hand to the body.
Stevens looks winded!
Stevens tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Sandstone counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stevens misses with a looping left.
Stevens throws a lazy uppercut
and Sandstone counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Stevens off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Sandstone follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Stevens was out before he hit the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dug Sandstone!
Dug Sandstone seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
