Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Magenta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magenta throws the left hand but Bear avoids the punch easily.
Bear is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Magenta.
Bear tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Magenta paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bear shoots in looking for a takedown but Magenta manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bear's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Magenta bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Mr Magenta will probably get the nod.

Bear shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bear was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bear is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Magenta knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bear. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Magenta looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bear with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Magenta loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Bear scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Magenta land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Magenta stands and salutes the crowd.
