The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Godley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Braga defends well.
Godley throws his legs up looking for a submission but Braga uses it to pass to side control.

Braga wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Godley, who protects the arm well.

Braga has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
