The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Matthews scores with a jab. Ridgeon acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Matthews scores with a sloppy right hand. Ridgeon should have avoided that one.
Matthews connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ridgeon. Ridgeon circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Matthews lands with a hook. Ridgeon tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ridgeon moves out of range as Matthews throws a body kick.
Matthews throws a head kick that Ridgeon semi-blocks.
Ridgeon avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Matthews comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Matthews works Ridgeon's body with a nice hook.
Ridgeon on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Matthews works the jab nicely.
Matthews sizes up Ridgeon with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Matthews closes the distance and clinches.

Matthews tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ridgeon's elbow.
Ridgeon stops a takedown attempt from Matthews.

Matthews has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ridgeon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Matthews is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Ridgeon won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Matthews off his unconscious opponent!
