The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruger tries to clinch but Villegas is having none of it.
Nice cross by Villegas.
Kruger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Villegas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Villegas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kruger.

Villegas drops Kruger with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kruger looks back up at him and smiles so Villegas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Kruger is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Villegas missing with a left hand there. Kruger was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Oh Kruger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kruger moves away from the strike by Villegas.
Villegas throws the left hand but Kruger avoids the punch easily.
Kruger seems to have got his legs back now.
Villegas misses with a straight left.
Kruger fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Villegas avoids it really well and circles away.
Kruger tries to clinch there but Villegas circles away.
Kruger ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
OH! Kruger has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Villegas smells blood and charges in for the finish! Villegas unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Kruger sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
