Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Project Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitsuhiro Sakaida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakaida has chosen Can't Be Touched as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Sakaida.
A head kick from Sakaida lands but Fighter takes it in his stride.
Fighter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sakaida. That's going to slow Fighter down.
Fighter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sakaida as he jumps to the side.
Fighter has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sakaida.

Sakaida takes the fight into the clinch.
Sakaida gets underhooks to prevent Fighter's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Project Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sakaida stops a takedown attempt from Fighter.

Sakaida is trying to push Fighter away but Fighter has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sakaida wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fighter has him pressed against the cage.
Sakaida prevents a takedown attempt there.
Sakaida has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Fighter drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Fighter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sakaida pulls his leg out and moves away.

Fighter has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sakaida finds it's way round the side to connect with Fighter's head.
Sakaida cracks Fighter with an open hand slap.
Sakaida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sakaida tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sakaida goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Sakaida throws a head kick but Fighter moves out of range.

Mitsuhiro Sakaida is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sakaida slaps away a takedown attempt from Fighter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sakaida throws a sloppy head kick and Fighter moves out of range easily.
Sakaida pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Fighter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Sakaida throws a head kick but Fighter moves out of range.
Fighter shoots for a double leg takedown but Sakaida sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sakaida throws a right and a left that Fighter avoids nicely.

Fighter drives through with a takedown into Sakaida's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sakaida can't keep his opponent in guard - Fighter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Fighter seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sakaida is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
