The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broyles wants to clinch but Maeda slips to the side
and Maeda counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Maeda pivots, looking for a leg kick but Broyles is out of range and Maeda settles back down.
Broyles moves in looking to clinch but Maeda pushes him off.
Broyles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maeda swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Maeda scores with a nice strike.

and Maeda counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Scott Broyles has been cut.
Both fighters circling a little - Maeda finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Broyles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Broyles misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some wild striking there from Broyles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maeda connects with an inside leg kick.
A left lands for Maeda.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Broyles, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Broyles crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Maeda - the referee stops the clock and Broyles gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Maeda. Broyles manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Broyles looks winded!
Maeda cracks Broyles with a hook to the temple - Broyles is on wobbly legs here! Maeda swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Broyles falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Maeda wins by TKO!
