Palowakski's entrance music is Burning Down the House. A fine choice. Brock Steiner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred Palowakski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brock Steiner!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Palowakski's head.
Palowakski throws a jab when Steiner was well out of range.
Steiner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Palowakski. Palowakski circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


Palowakski is rocked!
Steiner misses with a head kick.
Oh Palowakski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Steiner slips a straight right by Palowakski.

Palowakski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Still in half guard, Palowakski seems content to control.
Steiner trying to control from the bottom.
Palowakski seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Palowakski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Palowakski wants to control but Steiner is keeping him busy.
Steiner gets full guard.
Palowakski postures up.
Palowakski wants to control from the top but Steiner keeps moving.

Palowakski is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Steiner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Steiner has escaped and now he's on top!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Steiner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palowakski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steiner wants to pass the guard but Palowakski is keeping the position.
Palowakski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Steiner trying to control the position from guard on top but Palowakski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Steiner wants to control from the top but Palowakski keeps moving.
Palowakski looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Steiner puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Steiner is keen to just control but Palowakski is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Palowakski walks into a stiff left hand from Steiner.
Brock Steiner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steiner just misses with a punch to the body.
Palowakski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steiner is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Palowakski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Steiner moves out of range of the strikes.
Steiner feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Palowakski sprawling to the canvas! Palowakski rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Steiner finish him?!
Steiner lands a nice hook to Palowakski's body. Palowakski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Palowakski looks up at the clock. Bad move! Steiner lands a right hand from hell, dropping Palowakski. Steiner pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brock Steiner!
