Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcus Freedman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Armando De Luca!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freedman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by De Luca.
Freedman closes the distance and clinches up with De Luca, looking for a takedown. Freedman pushes De Luca against the cage but De Luca circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
De Luca throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
De Luca throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Freedman was covering up waiting for the punch and De Luca finishes the takedown easily into guard.
De Luca avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
De Luca trying to control the position from guard on top but Freedman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
De Luca is sitting in close to Freedman's body. Freedman has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! De Luca is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, De Luca is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Freedman.
