Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoshiro Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Justice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Justice has chosen Westside Connection - Bow Down as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Justice is looking for a sweep. Gomi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gomi wants to work for an arm triangle but Justice is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gomi connects with a nice short shot to Justice's temple.

Gomi passes the guard and advances to mount!

Gomi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Justice can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Justice wants to improve his position but Gomi is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gomi uses his free foot to push down on Justice's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Justice.

Gomi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Justice's face.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Justice looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Gomi! Submission of the night perhaps?
