The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinicius lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Ryan Sonnen has been cut.
Sonnen slips a jab and a cross from Vinicius.
Sonnen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vinicius sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vinicius swings for the body but Sonnen moves out of range.

Vinicius stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sonnen avoids the head kick by Vinicius.
Vinicius waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sonnen.
Sonnen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vinicius.
Sonnen throws a jab when Vinicius was well out of range.
Sonnen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vinicius.

Vinicius swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Vinicius stalks Sonnen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sonnen's face. Sonnen staggers backwards, shaken.

Sonnen stands up over Vinicius, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sonnen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Vinicius is looking to stand up but Sonnen isn't so interested in that idea.
Vinicius is looking to stand back up but Sonnen counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Vinicius.
Vinicius tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Sonnen manages to move to mount!
Sonnen lands a nice shot to the head.

Sonnen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Vinicius takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Sonnen's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
