Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tane Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knarles Grunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson comes to the cage accompanied by it was over. Grunt comes into a darkened arena with his song building. BLUNT- The Iron Maiden kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Thompson throws a nice inside leg kick.
Thompson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Grunt moves out of range of the body kick from Thompson.
Thompson misses with a body kick.
Grunt is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thompson's half guard.

Grunt looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thompson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Grunt wants to work for an arm triangle but Thompson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Grunt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thompson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Grunt stands and throws Thompson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Grunt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thompson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Thompson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Grunt presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Grunt looking to control but Thompson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grunt is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Thompson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Thompson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Grunt anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Thompson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Grunt slips an arm under Thompson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Grunt has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Grunt is squeezing on Thompson like an anaconda would it's prey. Thompson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
