Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose McSmokey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McSmokey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Franklin as he avoids it easily.
Franklin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McSmokey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McSmokey shoots in for a double leg but Franklin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose McSmokey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Franklin misses with a takedown attempt

and McSmokey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Franklin won't be happy with that.
McSmokey tries to advance to mount but can't.

McSmokey is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Franklin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Franklin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
McSmokey is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franklin wants to free his trapped foot but McSmokey is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Franklin gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
McSmokey clinches but Franklin breaks the clinch

and Franklin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Franklin stops a takedown attempt from McSmokey.
McSmokey is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Franklin can't get the takedown.
Franklin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Franklin creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Franklin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McSmokey uses from the top position.
McSmokey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Franklin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McSmokey postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Franklin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McSmokey, into his guard.

Franklin stands up and waves to McSmokey to follow him.
McSmokey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Franklin moves into the clinch.

McSmokey manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Franklin manages to get himself to full guard.
McSmokey slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Franklin wants to control but McSmokey postures up.

McSmokey is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Franklin is trying to escape and McSmokey transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Franklin is forced to tap! Nice work there by McSmokey! Very nice indeed!
