The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scholes gets caught flat footed, as Watts shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Scholes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Scholes is pulling down on Watts's head to control his posture.
Watts tries to free his leg and advance position but Scholes is retaining full guard.

Watts drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Scholes dives on top into guard.

Watts is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Scholes rolls with it to try and escape but Watts cranks on the arm and Scholes is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
