Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kick Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kick Boxer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kick Boxer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seth Grant!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Seth Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boxer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Grant misses with a shot to the body
and Boxer counters with a head kick.
Grant slips a jab and a cross from Boxer.
Boxer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grant pivots, looking for a leg kick but Boxer is out of range and Grant settles back down.

Grant tries for a takedown but Boxer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Grant looks to score with a jab to the body but Boxer is just out of range.

Grant gets a clinch.
Come on Grant - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Grant lands a body shot.
Grant lands with a left to the head.
Grant pushes Boxer back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Grant takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Grant has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Boxer uses from the top position.

Boxer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Grant is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Grant closes the distance and clinches.
Grant stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Grant pushes Boxer off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Boxer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Grant gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Grant throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boxer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Grant is in Boxer's guard.

Grant wants to control from the top but Boxer keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Grant stands and steps away. Boxer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Grant rushes Boxer and presses him up against the cage.
Grant fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Still in the clinch, Grant scores with a nice short uppercut.
Grant gets through Boxer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Grant throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Grant is struggling to control the position.
Grant lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Grant wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Grant has his feet on Boxer's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Grant circles away from the clinch attempt.
Grant misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Boxer.
Kick Boxer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A frustrated look appears on Grant's face as he tries to break the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Grant just misses with a elbow thrown towards Boxer's brow.

The referee is keeping an eye on Grant - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Seth Grant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Grant lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Boxer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Boxer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Grant throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boxer.

Grant throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Grant throws a hook to the side of Boxer's head but Boxer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Grant avoids the head kick by Boxer.
Seth Grant seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Oooooh!!! Grant has knocked Boxer down with a huge combo! Grant steps away and waves a wobbly Boxer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Boxer showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Grant.

Kick Boxer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boxer lands a nice shot that snaps Grant's head back.
Boxer tries to close the distance and clinch but Grant swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Boxer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Grant.

Boxer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Grant finds it's way round the side to connect with Boxer's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grant comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Kick Boxer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Grant throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Seth Grant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Grant has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
