The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tangier shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marco pinned against the cage. Marco gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tangier looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Marco moves in looking to clinch but Tangier pushes him off.
Marco tries to clinch there but Tangier circles away.
Marco closes the distance looking to clinch
and Tangier counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Tangier keeps the fight on the outside.
Tangier has a takedown stuffed.
The fight stays on the outside here - Marco looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Tangier circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marco wants to clinch up but Tangier keeps it at a distance.

and Tangier counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Marco is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tangier has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Marco is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tangier's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Marco manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Marco cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marco has hold of Tangier's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tangier manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Marco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Marco lands a nice shot to the head.
Marco lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Tangier has decided that throwing punches whilst being mounted is the best he can manage just now.
Marco tries to control but Tangier wriggling away.

Tangier is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marco has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tangier's face.
Tangier is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tangier tries to buck Marco off but he can't manage it.
Marco lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
