Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Take (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mrtbach Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Douglas Take!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mrtbach Pain!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Take misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Take shoots in for a takedown but Pain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pain.
Pain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Take sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pain somewhat.
Some bone on bone action there as Pain checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Take throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pain's waist but Pain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Take off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Douglas Take. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Take.
Pain swats away the attempt to clinch by Take.
Pain connects with a body shot that sends Take's belly button to the back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Take will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pain avoids the head kick by Take.
Take shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pain pinned against the cage. Pain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Take is breathing heavily.
Pain is looking to clinch but Take is avoiding it.
Take tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pain swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pain digs a good hook to Take's body.
Pain looks to clinch
and Take counters with a body kick that stops Pain in his tracks momentarily.
Pain pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Pain fails with a takedown attempt.
Pain stalks Take and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Take's face. Take staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Douglas Take has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pain goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Pain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Take but Take pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pain gets a clinch.
Take is pressed up against the cage. Pain has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Take down to the mat. Take avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Take slaps away a takedown attempt from Pain, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Take lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Pain closes the distance and clinches.
Pain looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Pain is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Take pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Pain is trying to pull guard but Take turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Take is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pain is defending well.

Take pulls guard successfully.
Take has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Take controls Pain momentarily but Pain frees himself.
Pain throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Take is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Douglas Take wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Pain lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pain.
Pain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Take manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pain throws the kick towards the body but Take avoids it.
Take fails with a takedown attempt.

Take closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Take prevents a takedown attempt there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Take gets underhooks to prevent Pain's takedown attempt.
Take drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pain pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mrtbach Pain dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Douglas Take's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Pain moves into the clinch successfully.
Pain jumps guard but Take turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Take changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pain fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Pain fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Take, pushing him back against the cage.

Take pulls guard.
Take looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Pain sitting in guard here, content to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Take is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Pain wants to stand and escape but instead Take has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pain trying to control the position.
Pain is looking to sweep but instead, Take has passed into half guard.
Pain scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Take manages to mount him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Take tries to control but Pain wriggling away.
Pain keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pain is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Take can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pain is looking to escape.
Pain is working to get back to half guard.
Take could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Take will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Take thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Take content just to control the position here.
Pain working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Take looking to ground and pound but Pain is blocking nicely.
Pain tries to control Take's body but Take pushes him off. Pain squirms to his side and now Take has his back!

Take is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Pain defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Pain avoids the strikes from Take.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Douglas Take will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Take is defended easily by Pain.
Pain wants to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Take. No joy for Pain on that attempt.
Pain misses with a leg kick.
Pain wants to clinch but Take slips to the side
and Take counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Pain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Take as he jumps to the side.
Take fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Take misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pain clinches up with Take and pushes him back against the cage.
Pain goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Take is pressed up against the cage. Pain has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Take down to the mat. Take avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Douglas Take has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mrtbach Pain.
Pain is trying hard to land a takedown here. Take sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Pain tries to clinch there but Take circles away.

Take clinches with his opponent.
Pain missing with knees to the body.
A bit of stalling here from Take.

Take jumps guard.
Take looking to control.
Pain wants to control from the top but Take keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pain tries to free his leg and advance position but Take is retaining full guard.
Pain seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Take has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Douglas Take has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Pain throws a series of punches but Take moves out of range.
Take moves in looking to clinch but Pain pushes him off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Take will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Take paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Take shoots in but Pain avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice takedown defense from Take. No joy for Pain on that attempt.
Take tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Take tries to avoid it but Pain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Take to the ground. Take escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Take fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Take looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Take leaves Pain with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Take shoots in looking for a takedown. Pain tries to sprawl out of it but Take keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pain throws a head kick but Take moves out of range.
Take circles away from the clinch attempt
and Take counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Take throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Take is looking to clinch.
Pain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

And that's the end of the fight!
Douglas Take showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Take has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
