Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Safire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Rizzo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rizzo Jr is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lazy Eye. On his way into the cage it seems that Fred Safire has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Fred Safire seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzo Jr just misses with a punch to the body.
Safire looks to clinch
and Rizzo Jr counters with a nice uppercut.

Fred Safire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Safire. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rizzo Jr creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Safire has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rizzo Jr avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Safire is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rizzo Jr can't fight it off and eventually Safire manages to take the fight to the floor. Rizzo Jr looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rizzo Jr holds on and takes a little breather.

Let's hope that Rizzo Jr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Safire missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Safire postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rizzo Jr is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Safire, into his guard.

Safire thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Rizzo Jr would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Safire is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rizzo Jr stands and steps away. Safire gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Safire drives through and clinches with Rizzo Jr against the cage.
Safire is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rizzo Jr is defending well for now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Safire avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Enrique Rizzo Jr dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Safire tries to close the distance and clinch but Rizzo Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Safire shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rizzo Jr as he avoids it easily.
Enrique Rizzo Jr seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Safire shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rizzo Jr but Rizzo Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both fighters circling a little - Rizzo Jr finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Rizzo Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Safire circles away quickly and effectively.

Safire has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rizzo Jr.

Jeez, Fred Safire's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Rizzo Jr lands a big head kick that sends Safire tumbling to the mat! Rizzo Jr takes a step backwards and waves Safire back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fred Safire's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
