Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gargantuan King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marco Polo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
King tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Polo was well out of range. Poor timing from King.

Polo moves into the clinch successfully.

Polo pulls guard successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

King stands and steps away. Polo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Polo clinches.
Polo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Polo content to slow the pace in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Polo looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but King puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Polo can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Polo wants to control but King is having none of it.

King is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Polo is surviving well by controlling King's body position as best he can.

BOOM! King connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Polo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

King looking for a guillotine from mount but Polo is having none of it.
King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Polo can't escape the position.

King is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Polo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Polo shrugs it off.

King has hold of Polo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Polo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

King is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Polo tries to land a leg kick but King saw it coming and moves away.
King slaps away a takedown attempt from Polo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gargantuan King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Polo.
Polo shoots in and drives through. King sprawls well.

Polo looks for the body kick but King saw that one coming.
Polo has a takedown stuffed.
Polo dives in and grabs King's left leg, looking for a takedown. King pushes down on Polo's head and hops out.
King fails with the takedown.
King throws a shot from downtown. Polo moves away and avoids it.
A head kick misses from King.
King stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and King wants it to stay on the feet.
King throws a wild body kick that Polo sees coming a mile off.
Polo stuffs the takedown.
Polo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Polo shoots for a takedown but King saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and King counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Polo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
King seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Polo for as long as he can get away with.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gargantuan King.
Polo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Polo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts King as he jumps to the side.
King defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Polo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King throws a front kick aimed at Polo's knee but Polo avoids it well.

King could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

King closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
King is controlling the pace.
Polo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
King looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
King content to control rather than advance.
Polo wants to control but King is keeping busy and won't allow it.

King is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Polo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time King.
Polo has a hand on King's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. King takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

King is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Polo has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Marco Polo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
