Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juarez Del Fuago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spar Bjj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Juarez Del Fuago has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juarez Del Fuago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Bjj!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Del Fuago avoids the head kick by Bjj.

You can see the frustration on Del Fuago's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Del Fuago doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bjj counters with a single leg into guard. Del Fuago didn't expect that.

Del Fuago escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bjj gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Del Fuago had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bjj defends it easily.
Bjj is working Del Fuago over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Del Fuago has momentary wrist control but Bjj slips an elbow through the middle.

Bjj is looking for a kimura but Del Fuago is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bjj to get the leverage.
