Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brain Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayne Cobb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobb is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Hero of Canton. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Damage closes the distance and clinches up with Cobb, looking for a takedown. Damage pushes Cobb against the cage but Cobb circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Damage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cobb avoids it really well and circles away.

Horrible takedown by Damage or perhaps it was just good defense by Cobb which made him look bad.
Damage shoots in looking for a takedown. Cobb tries to sprawl out of it but Damage keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cobb manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Cobb. No joy for Damage on that attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Damage sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cobb's guard.
Cobb is trying to maintain the position but Damage is very close to passing his half guard.
Damage works his way into full mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cobb is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Damage is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cobb to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cobb shrugs it off.
Brain Damage overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Damage goes for an armbar but Cobb turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Cobb.
