Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mahonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dorangel Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Vargas.
Vargas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Vargas swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mahonen.
Mahonen moves to clinch but Vargas breaks away
and Mahonen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vargas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Vargas connects with a right hand. Mahonen shakes it off.
Mahonen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vargas jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mahonen swinging wildly here.

Mahonen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vargas, pushing him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mahonen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Vargas prevents it.

Vargas breaks from the clinch.
Mahonen tries to clinch but Vargas is having none of it.
Vargas looks to land a right hand but Mahonen moved out of range.
Vargas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vargas wants it to stay on the feet.
Vargas scores with a decent looking hook.
Vargas connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Vargas works the jab nicely.
Vargas cracks Mahonen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mahonen wants to clinch
and Mahonen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Frank Mahonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mahonen takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mahonen scores with a crisp jab that stopped Vargas in his tracks.
Vargas connects with a single shot there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vargas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mahonen has time to react.
Vargas lands the left hand.
Vargas throws out a powerful jab.
Vargas moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Vargas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mahonen's head backwards.
Vargas scores with a decent looking hook.
Mahonen misses with a wild combination.
Mahonen tries to clinch up but Vargas circles away and keeps his distance.

Vargas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mahonen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mahonen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vargas cracks Mahonen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mahonen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vargas throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Vargas paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mahonen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vargas as he avoids it easily.
Mahonen is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mahonen.
Vargas lands with an overhand left.
The crowd cheers as Vargas lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mahonen doesn't seem phased though.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mahonen. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Mahonen takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nice straight punches there by Vargas. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Vargas.
Dorangel Vargas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vargas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mahonen.
Mahonen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Vargas throws a good cross that connects.

Oh Mahonen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
and Vargas counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Mahonen! He's just covering up as Vargas starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
