Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Dro Cop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Viktor Kyshenko!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dro Cop drops Kyshenko with a nice combination! Dro Cop dives into Kyshenko's guard, looking to finish!


It looks like Viktor Kyshenko has been cut.
Kyshenko looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dro Cop is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Dro Cop wants to stand but Kyshenko has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Dro Cop missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dro Cop stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kyshenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dro Cop throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kyshenko works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dro Cop is in close to Kyshenko's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Dro Cop goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


That has opened up Viktor Kyshenko's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dro Cop pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Viktor Kyshenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dro Cop lands with a cross.
Dro Cop lands a high kick!


Kyshenko is rocked!

Dro Cop gets a takedown into half guard.
Kyshenko is still in real trouble! Can Dro Cop finish him?
Kyshenko wants to get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dro Cop connects with a nice short shot to Kyshenko's temple.
Kyshenko is breathing heavily.
Dro Cop seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kyshenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dro Cop is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dro Cop is trying to control the action in half guard but Kyshenko is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Dro Cop stands up over Kyshenko, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Dro Cop looks up at the clock and then as Kyshenko takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dro Cop smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dro Cop lands a few punches from side control.
Dro Cop connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kyshenko some visible discomfort.
Kyshenko is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dro Cop is controlling him well.

Dro Cop shoots in for a double leg but Kyshenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kyshenko takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Dro Cop misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kyshenko has Dro Cop pressed against the cage, preventing Dro Cop from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kyshenko is trying to force a seperation but Dro Cop has the dominant position.

Dro Cop feints and as Kyshenko raises his hands in defense, Dro Cop changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kyshenko scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Dro Cop takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Kyshenko slaps away a takedown attempt from Dro Cop, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Dro Cop throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dro Cop.
Alexander Dro Cop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dro Cop throws a head kick that misses.
Dro Cop lands with a slapping head kick.
Kyshenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Dro Cop swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dro Cop shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kyshenko's guard.

Dro Cop jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kyshenko walks away with a smile on his face. Dro Cop gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kyshenko throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Dro Cop misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dro Cop changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kyshenko tries to avoid it but Dro Cop manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kyshenko to the ground. Kyshenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dro Cop shoots in and drives through. Kyshenko sprawls well.
