Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zangiev fails with a takedown attempt.

Zangiev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bird's waist but Bird gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zangiev off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei Zangiev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zangiev gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Zangiev takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Zangiev is breathing heavily.
Bird lands with an overhand left.

Zangiev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bird thuds a left hand into Zangiev's body.

Zangiev sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Bird scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A slapping leg kick lands for Bird.
Bird bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Zangiev's head backwards.

A left and a right from Bird both land. Nice combination.
Bird ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bird lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bird lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Bird connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zangiev. Zangiev circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zangiev tries to move into range but Bird moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Bird throws a front kick that sends Zangiev stumbling back into the cage.

Bird is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Zangiev rather than just go for the knockout.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bird, as that shot connected.
Bird thumps Zangiev with a low kick.
Bird throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zangiev stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bird bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Zangiev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Zangiev is rocked!
Bird steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Zangiev is out on his feet! Bird sets himself and nearly takes Zangiev's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
