Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Hungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hungus comes to the cage accompanied by Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karl Hungus!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hungus moves into the clinch successfully.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hungus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sakuraba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hungus has managed to get both his arms back between Sakuraba's legs - danger averted.

Sakuraba escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hungus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hungus chips away with some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sakuraba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hungus wants to pass the guard but Sakuraba is keeping the position.
Hungus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hungus cracks Sakuraba with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hungus lands a nice shot to the head.
BOOM! Hungus connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Hungus lands a big shot to the head and Sakuraba winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Karl Hungus!
