The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oswalt falls off balance throwing a combination

and Sanches counters by clinching up.
Still in the clinch, Sanches scores with a nice short uppercut.

It looks like Nate Oswalt has been cut.
Sanches lands an uppercut.
Oswalt jumps guard but Sanches stands there with Oswalt around his waist. Oswalt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sanches lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A body shot lands from Sanches.
Oswalt has had enough of the clinch but Sanches keeps him there for the moment.

Sanches drops Oswalt onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Oswalt is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Sanches pushes Oswalt against the cage. Sanches is working some dirty boxing. Sanches pushes off with a quick right hook! Oswalt goes down! Oswalt tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Sanches moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Renato Sanches! Renato Sanches retains his heavyweight title!
