Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between bo Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Braveheart kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! bo Riley has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bo Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Riley as he avoids it easily.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown but Riley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wallace stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wallace wants it to stay on the feet.

Wallace looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wallace is looking to stall here but Riley recovers full guard.

Riley throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wallace escapes and throws Riley's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Wallace misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Wallace prevents Riley from escaping the position.
Riley is looking to reverse the position.
Riley struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Wallace creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
You can see the frustration on Riley's face as Wallace controls the position.

Riley is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wallace's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Riley is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. William Wallace was stalling too much, according to the referee.
The fight stays on the outside here - Riley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wallace.
bo Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Wallace.

Wallace closes the distance and clinches.
Riley fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Riley has Wallace pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wallace manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wallace can't get the takedown.

Wallace has clasped his hands together around Riley's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Wallace decides to take the fight back to the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Riley is breathing heavily.

Wallace breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wallace closes the distance and clinches up with Riley, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes Riley against the cage but Riley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wallace goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like bo Riley has been cut.

Wallace fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Riley tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Wallace counters with a big right hand! Oh Riley is in trouble here! Wallace follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Wallace!
After the fight, William Wallace was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
