The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lao swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Konstantinov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lao defends it nicely.
Konstantinov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Konstantinov wants to clinch up but Lao keeps it at a distance.
Lao checks a low kick from Konstantinov.
Lao fails with an attempt to clinch.
Konstantinov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lao is looking to slow Konstantinov down with leg kicks.
Lao has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Konstantinov.
Konstantinov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

and Lao counters with an outside leg kick.

Horrible takedown by Konstantinov or perhaps it was just good defense by Lao which made him look bad.

Lao moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Konstantinov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lao can pounce on him.
Lao is looking to slow Konstantinov down with leg kicks.
Lao uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Konstantinov has time to react.
Lao ducks under a wild hook from Konstantinov.
Konstantinov tries to land a front kick but Lao steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Lao has managed to clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Konstantinov can't break the clinch.
Lao swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lao tries to stall but Konstantinov uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Konstantinov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lao connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Boris Konstantinov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lao dips to his left and cracks Konstantinov with an uppercut!
Konstantinov checks a leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Good leg kick by Lao there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lao displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Konstantinov.
Lao scores with a decent looking hook.
Lao throws a front kick that sends Konstantinov stumbling back into the cage.
Lao's jab looks to have found its range, popping Konstantinov under the eye.
Konstantinov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Konstantinov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Konstantinov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Konstantinov is still on wobbly legs! Can Lao finish him?
Konstantinov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lao.
A head kick misses from Lao.
Konstantinov seems to have recovered his senses.
Lao throws a monster overhand right that drops Konstantinov! Lao follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

A relieved looking Kung Lao thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
