The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Cole misses.

Garza jumps guard and drags Cole to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Cole wants to pass the guard but Garza is keeping the position.

Garza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cole defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garza is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cole is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cole wants to pass the guard but Garza is keeping the position.

Garza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cole wants to control from the top but Garza keeps moving.
Garza utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cole knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garza on the ground.
Cole throws a big right hand that misses.

Garza has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cole doesn't defend quickly enough and Garza has managed to lock this one up! Can Cole escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Garza on a fantastic submission victory.
