Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Haigh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Scott Gouken!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Haigh.
Haigh missing with a left hand there. Gouken was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gouken throws a series of punches but Haigh avoids them all with ease.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gouken, right into the meat.
Gouken slips a jab from Haigh.
Gouken throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gouken fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Haigh.
Gouken shoots in but Haigh avoids the takedown attempt easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gouken stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Haigh swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Haigh is trying to work for a kimura but Gouken is defending well.

Gouken is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Haigh pulls his head out easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gouken has a hand on Haigh's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Haigh takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Haigh throws out a loose jab but Gouken uses good head movement to avoid it.

Scott Gouken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gouken ducks under a wild hook from Haigh.

Haigh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Haigh has his foot on Gouken's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gouken works his way back into a safe position though.

Haigh is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gouken rolls with it to try and escape but Haigh cranks on the arm and Gouken is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
