Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dynamite Glove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Alvarez Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banner has chosen Punishment by Biohazard as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Alvarez Banner!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Banner.
Glove stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Glove wants it to stay on the feet.
Dynamite Glove has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Alvarez Banner.
No luck for Banner with that takedown attempt.
Glove moves away from the strike by Banner.
Banner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Glove is fending him off so far but Banner persists. Nope, Glove circles away and we're back to standing.

Banner has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Glove is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Glove's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Banner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Glove as he avoids it easily.
Bruce Alvarez Banner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banner takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Banner connects with a looping right hand.
Glove tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Banner was well out of range. Poor timing from Glove.
Banner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Horrible takedown by Banner or perhaps it was just good defense by Glove which made him look bad.

Banner ducks right into an uppercut from Glove.

Banner moves into the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Banner is trying to break the clinch but Glove is controlling him.
Banner jumps guard but Glove stands there with Banner around his waist. Banner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Banner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Glove sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Banner somewhat.

Banner fails to land the takedown.
Banner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Banner staying out of range there.
Glove tries a head kick but it misses.
Banner takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Banner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Glove keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Glove defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Banner.

Banner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Glove napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Glove is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Banner asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Banner has knee on belly and moves into mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Glove is in a horrible position here. Banner smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Banner throws a strike there. Glove manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

Banner dives in and grabs Glove's left leg, looking for a takedown. Glove pushes down on Banner's head and hops out.

Banner closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Glove tries to roll over but Banner keeps him under control.
Glove is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dynamite Glove just wasn't active enough.
Banner fails to land the takedown.
Banner checks a leg kick nicely.

and Glove counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Banner scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Banner has knee on belly momentarily but Glove bucks him off and regains half guard.
Banner is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Glove reverses the position - he's now on top in Banner's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Alvarez Banner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Banner has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Glove finds it's way round the side to connect with Banner's head.

Banner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Glove is trying to defend but Banner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Banner uses his free foot to push down on Glove's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Glove.
