The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupitsinov misses with a straight left.
Dupitsinov works Kuznetsov's body with a nice hook.

Dupitsinov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kuznetsov on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Dupitsinov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kuznetsov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Dupitsinov throws a strike aimed at the side of Kuznetsov's head but Kuznetsov avoids it well.
Dupitsinov is putting a hurting on Kuznetsov here, landing some big shots from side control.

Dupitsinov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dupitsinov cracks Kuznetsov with a big right hand but Kuznetsov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Kuznetsov pushes Dupitsinov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dupitsinov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
