Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alberto Tomba!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Bunting!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Alberto Tomba has been cut.
Bunting uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tomba.

Bunting lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Tomba is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bunting is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Tomba to the mat. Tomba regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

John Bunting showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

John Bunting seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Alberto Tomba's cut is getting worse.
Bunting stalling.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bunting creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Tomba has had enough of the clinch but Bunting keeps him there for the moment.
Bunting throws a big uppercut that drops Tomba! More strikes from Bunting and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Tomba lies dazed against the cage as Bunting celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Bunting!
