Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirco Polimeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fritzie Zivic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polimeno looks to score with a jab to the body but Zivic is just out of range.
Polimeno misses with a left hand
and Zivic counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Polimeno thinking.
A slow jab from Polimeno misses its intended target.
A cross from Zivic lands.
Mirco Polimeno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Polimeno misses with a hook
and Zivic counters with a three punch combo that has Polimeno backing up. Polimeno nods at Zivic to acknowledge the strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zivic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Zivic looks to land a right hand but Polimeno moved out of range.

Zivic has managed to clinch.
Zivic misses with a body punch.

Zivic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zivic wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Polimeno lands a jab to the head.

Zivic cracks Polimeno with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Polimeno looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Zivic finish him?

Zivic closes the distance and pushes Polimeno back into the cage.

Zivic pushes Polimeno back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Polimeno is looking to break free of the clinch but Zivic has double underhooks.

Polimeno breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zivic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Zivic drops Polimeno with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Polimeno looks back up at him and smiles so Zivic waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Polimeno is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zivic circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Polimeno to the canvas! Polimeno doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Zivic keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fritzie Zivic!
A very excited looking Fritzie Zivic rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
